That union background gave him a foundation in professional-grade technique, job site safety, and quality standards that most painters never receive.
From there, Michael moved into the industrial coatings world — one of the most demanding environments in the trade. He managed thermal spray coatings, twin-wire arc spray, and ceramic coatings on industrial equipment and infrastructure. He traveled across the country performing field inspections at ADM plants, Georgia Pacific, and International Paper, where he inspected, sold and ensured quality control in boilers.
